The Peace Party Charter sets out, firstly, the Core Values – the ideas at the heart of The Peace Party, the ideals and vision that motivate supporters of The Peace Party.

For some, peace just means the absence of war. This Charter sets out to show that peace is the constant practice of compassion for humanity.

The Peace Party envisages the generation of a society where non-violence, social and economic justice and environmental concerns would have a much higher profile than they do at present. The enormous challenges facing humankind today need a united front from all the world’s people.

The Peace Party is radical in its views and its outlook and acknowledges the equal worth of everyone. It believes in being truthful and totally transparent and in instituting those policies that are most thoroughly conducive to lasting world-wide, peaceful co-existence.

The Peace Party is an independent secular political party. It welcomes people of all religions – and of none.

The Peace Party draws its strength from people of integrity who:

a. Love, support, nourish and protect all life

b. Uphold the worth of every being

c. Trust and respect the dignity of all others

d. Are tolerant of others and their views

e. Are mindful of the needs of others

f. Are truthful and honest

g. Have a sense of fairness

h. Care for every member of this and future generations
